Antique Victor Talking Machine model VV-XIV, circa 1910. This Victor phonograph has a mahogany upright cabinet with carved ornamentation and the original finish. There is plenty of storage beneath and doors for sound control. Nipper the dog, Victor's famous trademark, is visible on the cabinet and the identification plate. This antique phonograph has a double spring hand crank motor, made in Camden, NJ, at the Victor Talking Machine Factory. Retailed by the Arolian Company of Cincinnati, these record players sold originally for not less than $150, which is $3,869 in today's dollars! This Victor Talking Machine phonograph comes with records, needles, and a six month warranty.

About Victor

In the late 1880's Emile Berliner invented the flat phonograph record that could be mass produced by printing press. The Victor Talking Machine Company was famous for the Nipper the Dog logo, and operated until 1929 when it became RCA Victor.
