Anne Bridge Biography

Anne Bridge's subject matter is varied, however she is especially recognized for her oil and pastel paintings of children

“As long as I can remember, I knew that art would be my life. It’s the most rewarding thing I know.”

Anne’s art career began as a fashion illustrator in the late 1970s and she soon transitioned into a successful fine artist. Though her subject matter is varied, she is especially recognized for her oil and pastel paintings of children. For over two decades, as a participant in many national and regional juried shows in Nevada, Arizona, California, Oregon, Texas and Utah, Anne accumulated an impressive list of awards.

She was among an elite group of artists featured in the Peppertree Ranch Invitational Art Show in Santa Ynez, California for over twelve years and was listed in Southwest Art magazine’s Art Source issue for five consecutive years.

Since relocating to the East Coast, the New England art community has recognized Anne’s work by awarding her several “Best of Show” and “Peoples’ Choice” awards. Her painting “Wilted” was a finalist in Artist’s Magazine’s 2010 national competition in the Portrait/Figure category, and was also featured in the Guild of Boston Artist’s annual painting competition.
