Estate Paul Peterson Lightning Ridge Opal Necklace. This handmade 18 karat gold necklace by Paul Peterson features a custom cut Australian opal mined at Lightning Ridge. This natural opal is very fine quality custom cut in a shield shaped cabochon measuring 21.15mm x 18.16mm x 2.2mm and weighing 4.81 CTW. The opal has the original skin on the back. There are 46 full cut accent diamonds at .34 carat total weight with VS1-2 clarity and F-G color. The 18 karat yellow gold chain features a lobster clasp. This necklace weighs 8.4 grams and is appraised at $10,000
